The Photographer
Biographical detail
Paul Adams
Photographic Distinctions: DPAGB ARPS FDPS
Professional Qualifications: B.Ed (Hons), Dip.R.D. Adv.Dip. Ed. Man.
I am a retired headmaster and now keen amateur photographer. Currently, I am a member of Bexleyheath Photographic Society; as well as being General Secretary to the Disabled Photographers’ Society.
I took up photography in 1989 and enjoy producing prints and digital work. My involvement in club and local photography has developed as I now judge and lecture to clubs across the south east.
The Photographic Club is a great medium for meeting other photographers, viewing a whole range of material, all in a friendly and supportive environment.
Using Canon equipment, I enjoy all styles of photography, aiming to produce a memorable image in whatever genre.
My first preference is for black and white photography. It seems most like 'real' photography and good monochrome prints display the power of this conventional medium. More recently, I have taken to digital imaging, creating photobooks and sequencing slides with music.
